4 government inspectorates work together within Social Domain Supervision (TSD). They focus on whether vulnerable young people and adults receive the care and support they need in good time. This concerns the implementation by local authorities of the Participation Act, the Youth Act, the Social Support Act and the Appropriate Education Act. A key consideration is whether the relevant agencies are working together effectively and providing integrated support wherever possible.
The TSD examines the functioning and outcomes of the social domain as a whole (systemic supervision). Investigations are also carried out into incidents in youth care and social support, often followed by a recommendation to the relevant local authority.
The 4 inspectorates that work together within TSD are:
- Healthcare and Youth Inspectorate
- Education Inspectorate
- Inspectorate for Security and Justice
- Netherlands Labour Authority
