An international parcel delivery company operating in the province of North Holland has been forced to suspend part of its operations for a week after the Netherlands Labour Authority once again found it to be in violation of the Foreign Nationals (Employment) Act.

In recent years, the company has been fined 5 times, for a total of 88,500 euros, for employing people from outside Europe without the required work permits. Their work varied from management assistant tasks to duties behind the desk and loading parcels into a delivery van.

As this employer keeps making the same mistake, the company has now been partially and temporarily shut down. The purpose of the shutdown is to prevent the company from breaking the law again.
