Prevention officers

A good approach to healthy and safe working is important for your employees. To achieve this, you need to do a number of things, including appointing a prevention officer.

What is a prevention officer?

A prevention officer supports the employer in ensuring daily health and safety. A prevention officer has knowledge of the occupational risks of the organisation and the preventive measures to be taken. They are expert employees within the company who advise you on working conditions.

Prevention officers are involved in drawing up the Risk lnventory and Evaluation (Rl&E) and the accompanying action plan. They also play an important role in implementing the measures that arise from the action plan. In doing so, they advise and collaborate with the works council.

Prevention officers can be a source of information for your employees. They are familiar with the work situations and processes and can therefore help to reduce the risks.
