International road transport

Transport companies from other EU member states must report posted drivers via an online notification portal. This ensures that drivers in Europe are treated more fairly and prevents unfair competition between transport companies.

Visit postedworkers.nl to find out what this means for drivers and companies that post drivers.

Monitoring compliance with the law

The Netherlands Labour Authority ensures that transport companies comply with the duty to report. It also checks whether transport companies apply the correct employment conditions to posted drivers. The Labour Authority carries out these checks in collaboration with the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate and inspection services of other European countries. If a transport company violates the law, the Labour Authority will impose a fine.
